The last few weeks HCT has been very active on the riders market. Especially during the managers night shifts we scouted a lot of riders and found many talents. Even more trash so i'm still not sure if its a profitable way of playing this game but still.
A month back we had trained Isidoro Morgovejo but the team wasn't ready for a comeback. So Morgovejo got sold to Team AEK, where he is performing really nice by the way.
But doing so many scouting and wasting so many money it's getting boring so a week or 3 back we decided to train our self a captain. Doesn't matter if its time trial, cobblestone, sprint... As long if it's at least a division 2 captain worthy rider.
So first we started to train Bart van de Kroonenburg:
CL: Small
DH: None
HL: None
SP: Average
FR: Very good 64
CB: None
TT: Very good 81
TQ: Average 64
Unfortunately he maxed at 44.
Then, inspired by Cokol Breakaway Team and Benjamin Fontes, we decided to go for a Portuguese cobble rider Arthur Sesimbra:
CL: Average
DH: None
HL: Small
SP: Good
FR: Good 59
CB: Incredible 82
TT: Small
TQ: Small
And again back luck. Maxed at 40.
Doubts starting to kick in... There's many talents left in the team but those were to be sold. So lets just pick 1 and continue. But what if he maxes low again and i sell the rest? So after some thinking we just decided to train all the sprint talent in our team! Surely 1 of them has to max at at least 50:
Arne Spiering, Netherlands, 23y
CL: Small
DH: Small
HL: Average
SP: Very good
FR: Small
CB: Small
TT: None
TQ: Very good
Malcolm Overmeyer, South Africa, 21y
CL: None
DH: Very good
HL: Good
SP: Very good
FR: Average
CB: None
TT: None
TQ: Average
Sang Xiong, Taiwan, 21y
CL: Small
DH: None
HL: Small
SP: Very good
FR: Average
CB: Average
TT: Small
TQ: Good
Tommy Zwiebel, Germany, 21y
CL: Good
DH: Average
HL: Good
SP: Very good
FR: Average
CB: Good
TT: Small
TQ: Average
Trygve Teigen, Norway, 22y
CL: Small
DH: Very good
HL: Average
SP: Very good
FR: Average
CB: Average
TT: None
TQ: Good.
These are currently all receiving sprint training. And then we're still wondering about what to do with this one:
Vincent Fleming, Australia, 20y
CL: Small
DH: Average
HL: None
SP: Very good
FR: Average
CB: Good
TT: Incredible
TQ: Very good
Train or sell? If i train go for 220+ Sprint or 230+ Time trial? A hard one! Any opinions?
And last but certainly not least manager Boonstra has become National Team manager of the Netherlands again, a third term. Last time we did it was season 30. So i'm really excited to do it again :)

You're right. I think i will begin sprint training soon.
need more than 150 points for 64, 94, 84 as TT'er right? and just over 130ish if i'm correct to get to 84 64 84 as sprinter.
It's a hard choice. Would like to train as sprinter but 230tt.... And if i max sp,fr,tq he doesn't have a nice hill stat. I shall think about it a bit longer.
You don't need the money, train him as a sprinter so you can use him.
Good luck training and good luck with the NT! I will be watching closely offcourse.
but a born sprinter, which fits his team better. So difficult choice. Could be a one man team though.
INC In TT with those side stats almost requires you to train... or sell for 600k :D
